Top Ten Movie Kisses
Romantic movies are special when they feature a pair of romantic leads that share chemistry. Over the years, there have been many such pairings. They have provided audiences with something to swoon over. Here are the top ten movie kisses of all time.
10)Spider-Man (2002). This kiss isn’t much of a lip lock, it just looks cool. Spidey is hanging upside down wearing a mask, and Mary Jane is right side up. It’s the sort of kiss that viewers don’t get to see every day.
9) Adventures in Babysitting (1987). Chris smooches with the hunk she met at a frat party when he returns her babysitting charge’s missing skate. The Crystals sing “And then He Kissed Me” in the background.
It’s a Wonderful Life (1939). The movie is a Christmas classic about the importance of family and friends. It isn’t known for being romantic. However, George Bailey shares a passionate lip lock with his soon-to-be wife as they listen to the annoying voice of Bailey’s competition via telephone.
7) Pride and Prejudice (1995). While there have been many adaptations of this Jane Austen classic, the 1995 version of the movie is perhaps the best. The characters are funnier and the love story is richer. Lizzie and Darcy share a kiss at the end of the movie. It’s a simple smooch, but it’s satisfying.
6) Bridget Jones’ Diary (2001). Bridget, a thirty-something-year-old woman who has a penchant for saying and doing the wrong thing, finally gets her man. They kiss in the snow after she chases him down in her underwear.
5) From Here to Eternity (1953). A pair of lovers engage in a make out session on the beach. The beautiful waves and the reality of their young love make the scene special.
4) Brokeback Mountain (2005). Throughout the movie, Ennis and Jack are kept apart because they fear the wrath of the world around them. They are both married, but they meet occasionally in a secluded mountainous area. After being apart for some time, they reunite and share a kiss that illustrates their love and frustration.
3) Titanic (1997). Titanic is an epic love story. Rose and Jack share numerous kisses during their doomed trip, but the most memorable one takes place as they stand at the bow of the ship. The shot shows the wide sea in the background as she turns to kiss him.
2) Gone with the Wind (1939). Rhett and Scarlett share many kisses during their romance, but the most memorable was the one they shared the night Atlanta burned. He drags her into his arm with the sky burning bright in the background.
1) The Notebook (2004). Noah and Allie meet while she is on vacation in his North Carolina hometown in the 1940s. When Allie returns to her family home, Noah writes to her, but she never receives his letters. They become reacquainted seven years later, and they kiss in the rain.
